What frustration does this upload fixer solve?
Email services limit attachment sizes. This upload fixer makes a smaller PDF copy and targets 10 MB so it works with more providers.
Your file stays on your device.Make It Upload fixes it in your browser.

Upload fixers currently cover Discord, Etsy, email PDFs, and Amazon KDP. Make It Upload is independent and is not affiliated with any platform shown.
PDFs made from scans, photographs, or high-resolution artwork can grow far larger than they look. Email services also limit attachment sizes. This upload fixer looks for ways to reduce the PDF while protecting readable text and image quality as much as possible, giving you a smaller file to attach and send.
Email services limit attachment sizes. This upload fixer makes a smaller PDF copy and targets 10 MB so it works with more providers.
Personal Gmail accounts allow up to 25 MB of attachments in total, not per file. Gmail substitutes a Drive link above the applicable attachment limit. Other email providers and workplace accounts may use different limits. 10 MB is this tool’s target, not a universal email limit or delivery guarantee.

This upload fixer checks the PDF’s file size and readability without sending the document anywhere.
It rebuilds a smaller copy, aims for an email-friendly size, and checks the result before offering it for download.
If image-based compression is needed, selectable text, links, forms, and other interactive features may not survive. Some highly detailed PDFs cannot reach the target without a noticeable loss in quality.
The message contains other attachments that push the total over the sender’s or recipient’s limit. A workplace or school administrator has set a lower attachment limit or blocked the file type. The mailbox is out of storage, the network fails, or the provider substitutes a cloud-storage link for large attachments.
Open the downloaded PDF before attaching it. Check page count, small text, signatures, links, and forms that matter to the recipient. Then count all message attachments against the relevant allowance. If delivery still fails, read the bounce message and check the recipient’s policy instead of assuming the PDF needs more compression.
The allowance applies to the combined attachments, not just the PDF selected here. Two 14 MB files total 28 MB, exceeding Gmail’s documented 25 MB personal-account allowance even though each is individually below it. Reducing one PDF could help, but this tool cannot inspect the rest of your draft or the recipient’s policy. Workplace and school limits can be set by administrators. The 10 MB target is a practical product choice; it does not certify that a message will be delivered.
A recipient may need to search text, follow links, fill fields, verify a signature, or use assistive software. The first pass re-saves the PDF without deliberately rasterizing its pages, but it does not verify preservation of every feature or digital signature. If more reduction is needed, pages become JPEG images at 150 DPI or lower and those document features are not rebuilt. For a form, signed agreement, or accessible document, consider a source-app export or an approved sharing link instead of accepting image-only output.
Compare the original and download at normal reading size, then inspect the smallest text, stamps, handwritten notes, and pale annotations. The result label tells you whether image-based compression was used and at what resolution, down to 72 DPI when needed. It does not measure legibility. If a number or mark becomes ambiguous, keep the original and choose another delivery method. A lower byte count is not a successful repair when the recipient can no longer read the information.
Gmail uses a Drive link when attachments exceed its applicable limit. Decide whether that sharing method is appropriate, and check the recipient’s access before sending; this site does not upload your PDF to Drive. If a message bounces, the cause can instead be recipient limits, blocked attachments, or mailbox storage. Follow the error given by the mail service. For confidential documents, use your organization’s approved delivery method rather than making a public link just to avoid an attachment limit.
Twenty-five megabytes is Gmail’s personal-account limit, not a universal standard. A 10 MB target leaves room for stricter providers, workplace rules, and other attachments.
The upload fixer begins with a lossless rewrite, then starts at 150 dpi if image-based compression is needed. It only lowers the resolution when the file still exceeds the target.
The first rewrite avoids rasterizing pages, but does not verify feature preservation. If pages become images, a selectable-text layer and interactive links or forms are not rebuilt. Test the important features in the downloaded copy.
